Tony Brian - Brutus of Associate Cricket!!!

We think it will not be inappropriate if ICC Associates  voice "ET TU TONY".....?

 

We all know the proverb that  Power Tends to Corrupt and Absolute Power  Corrupts Absolutely  but betraying the own Associate members who voted him in good faith to serve the interest of Associates in the ICC board is nothing but the subversion, million times worse than the Tag -  Corrupt. 

 

The  premeditated and unethical plan seems had started on 22nd April 2018 in Kolkata when the ICC Board meeting was held in Kolkata between  22nd and 26th April 2018. 

 

In April 2018 Tony Brian was not member of ICC board, not member of CEC and also not member of ICC Cricket  Committee. He was just head of  Cricket Scotland with membership status similar to Russia or Romania etc.etc. but of course a top ranking Associate member. 

 

A non practicing trial lawyer was happy working in Bank of Scotland with specialization in risk management and governance before he retires in 2011 and it seems he mastered the concept of " Do what I say but don't do what I do" by heart and to prove his ability he landed in Kolkata uninvited by ICC ( but was in contacts ? ), with tourist Visa  on 21st of April 2018. 

 

From our source we learnt his room was booked at 15 Jawaharlal Nehru Road, Dharamtalla, Kolkata 700013, the physical address of Oberoi Grand Hotel and coincidently (?) ICC Staff / delegates also stayed there. 

 

From our same sources we learnt too that during his stay he had several unofficial meetings with Certain ICC staffs ( 2 of them already left) who had at that time persuasive voice to ICC Board in financial area. It was also noticed his  close acquaintance  with ICC staff and even having alleged  meeting in their room. 

 

From our reliable source we are informed that allegedly main purpose of his visit was to draw a flawless plan through "friendship" of ICC staff ( former) how to have the access to a good part of $42 million USD of Associate surplus fund for Scotland, which was not yet destined to Associate members and unfamiliar of its existence to majority of ICC Associates. 

Unfortunately it seems didn’t work the way he and his friends in ICC wanted because Neil Speight another ICC Associate Rep for CEC, already had suspected some improper Machiavellian plan and started questioning  whereabouts and destination of this Surplus Fund privately and also in different meetings. 

 

Now comes the master-stroke. Tony Brian decided to run for Associate Director for ICC Board election with the alleged consent  of certain ICC staff and few high  ranked Associates in June 2018 at Dublin. 

 

As the first step, prior to the election he circulated his profile and his PLAN how he wants to help Associate  members if elected as an Associate Director of ICC, a long list of bubbles. 

 

Tony's  propaganda somehow impressed some group of Associates and he just managed to pull through with the 3rd position and a big difference from 1st and Second position holders and qualified to be one of the Associate Directors. 

 

Tony Brian's  notable contributions as an Associate Director since elected in June 2018 : 

 

A.  Strong covert lobbying for Cricket Scotland's Full Membership when originally  pledged to look after the interest of 92 Associates. 

 

B.  Voted in favor of Associate members unanimous resolution on distribution model of 42 Million USD Associate Surplus fund in AM general assembly in 2018  where all Associate Members were present.  But in the posterior meetings of ICC Development Committee  where he occupies position as the Elected Associate Director, Objected to the Unanimous Associate member resolution veraciously and ultimately  VOTED AGAINST  the AM Resolution in the Committee in 2019 once it was sent back by the ICC Board to Development Committee for all Associate members to reconsider certain  terms on payments. 

 

C.  It was not difficult to fathom the will and wish of Global Associate members relevant to recently concluded ICC Chairman election where ICC Associate  chairman & ICC Deputy Chairman Imran Khwaja was the candidate. Overwhelmingly through email communications, WhatsApp communications and resolution, it will not be exaggerated to estimate that all most all, except few isolated Associates, wanted Associate Directors  to vote Imran Khwaja. But 2 Associate Directors did not honor the will and wish of the Associates and voted AGAINST IMRAN KHWAJA.

 

D.  Tony Brian and other Associate Director Voted AGAINST IMRAN KHWAJA according to many media report inklings which are in public domains and also seconded by the candidate himself. 

 

Julius Caesar was stabbed 23 times conspired by 60 senators led by Marcus Brutus but whether an individual  is betrayed by a trusted group or a group is deluded by just 2 mistrusted individuals, the skepticism remain unchanged with original theme - "ET TU BRUTUS.....? "
